THE SCRIBE
The Scribe — Keeper of Invariants
The Scribe doesn’t care about your intuition. He cares what is guaranteed to be true before and after every step. When stories harden into lemmas and loops, he’s the one holding the pen.
Represents
State, notation, and proof. The Scribe records the facts that must hold even while everything else in the kingdom changes. He’s the quiet voice asking, “Did we actually prove that, or did we just hope it?”
He Asks
- “What is guaranteed before and after this step?” Loop invariants, pre-conditions, post-conditions, and contracts.
- “What can never happen?” Impossible states, forbidden transitions, broken assumptions.
- “Can I write this down precisely?” Turning diagrams and hunches into clear definitions and proofs.
Default Lens
Loops, correctness arguments, tricky edge cases, and the final “Why is this always safe?” explanation. If the Guru gives you the pattern, the Scribe nails it to the page so you can’t forget how it works.

Strongest in the Scriptures and in any tale whose epilogue turns into formal reasoning: proofs of correctness, complexity analysis, and checklists you can reuse in your own code.
